Temporary suspension of association filing services, 26 to 30 June 2026

Registry services for association filings will be temporarily unavailable from 26 to 30 June 2026.

This period will allow the IPA to prepare for the transition to the new Associations Incorporation Act 2023. Normal registry services for association filings will resume on 1 July 2026.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for your cooperation during this period.

NOTICE: Commencement of the Associations Incorporation Act 2023: all incorporations must re-register by 30 June 2027.

Papua New Guinea has a new Associations Incorporation Act 2023, commencing 1 July 2026. The new Act replaces the 1966 Act and changes how incorporated associations operate. Every existing incorporated association must re-register to remain on the register. To re-register, log in to your online registry client account, confirm or update your association's existing details, and provide the new information required under the Act, including your current committee members, any public officers, your business activities, and your association subtype. Re-registration is free, online, and must be completed by 30 June 2027.

NOTICE: Reinstatement period for companies now closed
The administrative reinstatement period for companies de-registered on 5 December 2023 ended on 30 April 2026. These companies can no longer be reinstated administratively and must apply to the National Court for reinstatement. To check whether your company is affected, see the consolidated list of removed companies.
